Intuitive Machines has partnered with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Columbia Sportswear for two ventures. The first involves using Columbia Sportswear's Omni-Heat thermal-reflective technology to protect the Nova-C lunar lander from harsh temperatures of space during its maiden voyage to the moon - the first American lunar expedition in over 50 years. The second program, called the "Intuitive Machines and Columbia Sportswear Advancing Women in Technology Program," aims to support women in STEM by offering scholarships and fellowships to those pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and math. Columbia and Intuitive Machines have committed $100,000 in scholarship funding to the initiative, which will help female STEM innovators and their technology reach the moon.
